Girls weekend

I had the opportunity to go on a girls weekend in October.  It was so much fun!  We got as far as Cracker Barrel for our first stop before taking our first glamor shot and having dinner!

My pictures are all of order, but the weekend consisted of a lot of hot tubbing, talking, cracking up, eating, sleeping, and some people even took walks in the beautiful nature that surrounded us.
We tried our best to start a fire and while two of us can start a fire every other time we try, this time we had hardly any luck.  We could get enough flames going to eat some smores.  Yum!

Our cabin was absolutely beautiful.

It was so much fun to get away and enjoy continued time of adult conversation.  We could do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted!  We came back renewed and ready to tackle the job of motherhood!!!

There were many stories, laughs and good times that won't be forgotten and we can't wait to do it again!

While I was away with the girls, Jeff took the kids to a wedding, where apparently they were masters of the dance floor.

And to Brent's last soccer game.  I'm so blessed to have a husband who will hold down the fort while I go away and play!!

Deer lease

We love going to the lease. It is a quick get away with minimal obligations. After a busy week if does a body good!!

The kids have gone more than I have this year, which has also been nice. Here they went dove hunting. Last weekend they went deer hunting.

It always wears the kids out.

If you can't find a pillow a cooler is also sufficient.

However, I highly recommend a hammock. But hang on if Brent is with you.

It's the little things

I've got a lot of catching up to do. Yikes! I haven't blogged in forever. Oh well!!

First off, happy birthday to our little buddy Drew. He's our neighbor and just super precious.

This fall has been so much fun. A certain friend said just today that she wished she could freeze time. Her boys are one and four and that was a great age. I've gotta say five and seven have been pretty fantastic as well. Sure they argue with each other some more but if that is the biggest downside I will take it.

We've been trying to take as much advantage of outside as we can. Between soccer, church, gymnastics, and my job we do stay pretty busy though.

Brent has recently learned to ride without training wheels and he is getting extremely fast!!! Watch out !!!!

Caitlyn is such a care taker. The other day while I was reading Brent a night time story on the couch she got up, went around to the other couch and started separating laundry. I was watching out if the corner of my eye proudly but mostly holding breath just praying that she wouldn't stop. What an answer to prayer!!! Someone was helping with the laundry y'all!!!

I love how these two choose to snuggle together. I know it won't last forever so I'm gonna enjoy it while if lasts. It's the little things.
